Liberty Spikes advice?

I'm thinking about putting my hair in Liberty Spikes for the very first time. I'm really conscious about the environment and was wondering if there was a good strong spray (for really thick hair) that is eco friendly. It would be nice if I could pick it up at a Walmart, but online also works too.
