Yugioh royal oppression vs geartown?

Royal Oppression can only negate Inherent Special Summons, the activation of monster effect that Special Summon, and that activation of Spell and Trap CARDS (not their effects) that will Special Summon. Geartown, upon activation, is not going to Special Summon a card. When it is destroyed, its effect activates, which will Special Summon, but since that is only the activation of the effect, and not the card itself, Royal Oppression cannot negate it.
