Should I ask for an elective C-Section?

I have heart damage due to being spiked 6 years ago. My OH is worried that if I go through labour it may be too much pressure on my heart and he doesn't want me to go through more than I have to. With 5 weeks left till the baby is due the drs are only just looking into whether it will be safe for me to deliver naturally! Shall I just ask for a C Section as I do not want to be worried even more than I have to be during labour?
