Future of Yugioh TCG?

The exceed monsters released so far don't look to strong. They will probably make better exceed monsters in the future but for now, I'll stick to sychros. The good thing about exceed monsters though, is that they have ranks, not levels so they are unaffected by burden of the mighty or any other level related card but the draw back of that is that they can't be used to sychro summon as synchro material. Gx was focussed on fusion, 5ds is focused on synchros and ZEXAL is focused on exceed monsters. I'm gonna miss synchros when they fade out like ritual monsters.
